Company of Heroes is much known for its cover mechanic and feature to alter the terrain based upon the battles encountered: creating new cover en a crater caused by artillery or driving through lines of massive bushes with a tank to create a flanking route.
It is focusing more on combat over base building, you get resources by securing different sectors on the given map, of which you can use to deploy a fierce army. It is very different from various other RTS franchises, since Company of Heroes tries to make the game feel more like how WW2 combat was conducted. Developed by Relic Entertainment, the Company of Heroes franchise is a high quality World War II series.
